Countryside Chapel Leadership
For now, Countryside Chapel is a small fellowship with big hearts. As the Lord leads, we hope to see other men and women raised up to serve His people. We believe the church is not built around any one person, but around the Lord Jesus Christ. Our leadership team is made up of men and women who have been called to faithfully serve the body of Christ using their gifts for the glory of God, and to edify the entire body of Christ; "till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" Ephesians 4:13. Together, we are committed to teaching God's Word with clarity and simplicity, by caring for His people, and equipping believers for ministry. In other words; helping the Countryside Chapel family grow in their relationship with Jesus. We count it a blessing from the Lord to serve alongside one another as we seek to glorify God in everything we do, both in and for our community.
Ron Gardner
Lead Pastor
Ron serves as the pastor of Countryside Chapel, a new work of the Lord in Sheridan Wyoming. Though pastor Ron and his bride, Tafianne, are no strangers to Wyoming, nor to church planting.
"Initially, it looked like we were coming along side a pastor with a struggling little fellowship, but it seems the Lord had other plans in His will for our lives."
Ordained in 2002, yet having been a part of Calvary Chapel since 1992, Ron draws from the model of ministry of pastor Chuck Smith, Calvary Chapels' founder. As such, like many pastors from that time, "Staying The Course" is the chosen direction for Countryside Chapel in Sheridan.
"Simply Teaching The Bible Simply, is a principle that I've come to know, and will therefore be the continuation of my style of ministry. Being raised up under some of the best Bible teachers of our time, we were all made aware that the vision of Calvary Chapel could never really be taught, it had to be caught. I understand that truth. It's more then just the name on a building, it's a philosophy and style of ministry that allows the Spirit of Jesus Christ room to move in His church."
Ron and Tafianne have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and are excited to see how the Lord will use them in the Sheridan, Big Horn, and surrounding communities.
